Radiation measurement

The purpose of electromagnetic risk assessment, radiation measurement, force fields harmful to health may develop in the indoor air space of flats, institutions and offices, as well as electromagnetic radiation known by the collective name smog. In order to filter out these force fields, an instrumental survey and risk assessment of the premises of the buildings is necessary.
The instrumental survey provides an overview of the physical, chemical and biological hazards that are present in the spaces around us, i.e. in our workplaces, properties, living spaces where we are, we live our daily lives. All the results are documented in a protocol, so potential problems are identified and form the basis of an effective control strategy. We will issue certificate to the customer after the installation of the audited and laboratory partner and the certified instrumentation, as well as the preliminary measurements recorded in the report and the results of the control measurement after installation.

The assessment covers the following exposure limits:

• Low frequency electric field (1Hz-400KHz)
• Low frequency magnetic fields (1Hz-400KHz)
• High frequency electromagnetic fields (100KHz-6GHz)
• Measurement of radon radioactive dose
• Airspace voltage relative to ground potential

Important to know the radiation values, our health can depend on it

Which standards should measurements be taken into account?

The main purpose of setting limit values is to protect the population and the environment from harmful effects ont he one hand, and to comply with the precautionary principle ont he other. In addition, the limit values don’t primarily reflect the limit of significant and risk factors, but represent economic trade-offs between perceived health risks and economic considerations. The development of standards and limits is hampered by the fact that electromagnetic radiation cannot be ruled out the level of civilization and technology of our time. Prior to the installation of the radiation protection system, Decree 33/2016 EMMI and SBM 2008 use the Building Biology measurement method, which is documented in a protocol.

Radiation measurement is performed according to a strict protocol:

  • Basic measurement. Electromagnetic radiation (electrosmog) is measured in an American accredited laboratory using measuring instruments certified by regular calibration. Exposure is analysed at multiple measurement points during hazard detection.
  • The measurement log is provided to the client in electronic format. Electric field base measurement / Magnetic field base measurement / High frequency power density base measurement / Radon-radioactive dose base measurement
  • Evaluation according to anomalies. Health risks are assessed in relation to the limits set in the SBM 2008/2015 International Recommendation on Building Biology Testing Methods.
  • We will prepare a quotation for an efficient solution.
  • Set a date for the installation of the protection system.
